Continuing our adventures in discovering AZ we decided to head south this time.
We made it all the way to Tombstone, AZ when we realized that we had forgotten shoes for Ty. We decided it was time to learn how to walk in flip flops but seeing that we only had two of the left foot Ty wasn't going for it. He was going to go barefoot on the dirt roads of Tombstone (and Paul would've been fine with that). As his mother I was determined to find my boy some shoes in Tombstone (of all places to be on the lookout for shoes).
Moccasins were going to have to do (the cowboy boots would be too stiff). Ty wanted nothing to do with them and threw a monster fit in the middle of the moccasin store, hitting any one who got in his way. It was time for some tough love . . .
and some candy, that always distracts him.
We watched a gun show and had front row seats (the advantages of having young children).
After eating at the OK Cafe we headed a little closer to the border to Bisbee, AZ. Cute town, wish we could've spent more time there. We took a tour of a mine called Queen Cave. They got us all suited up and put us on a train.
Didn't know I'd be stradling a seat and unfortunately had chosen to wear a skirt on this day. Just had to tell myself I wouldn't see any of these people again and moved forward.

Had some tired kids by the end of the day including myself. But knowing that we ended up with a new pair of moccasins made it all worth it. According to my well informed sister moccasins are kind of an "in" thing right now with the kiddos - I knew that all along. I'm all about trendy!

I heard the same thing about moccasins. Killer.
I think your whole fam should get a pair for your next family photo. ;)
I want a pair for me!
It looks like I am ahead of the trend. I bought the girls moccasins years ago. They are soooo yesterday.
