any guesses?

Does any one want to take a guess as to what these photos are of? I'll give you a hint: it has been on my desk for five months and now they're gone. Good luck guessing!

contest

Ruby is entering a contest at school in making a poster for the carnival. Love photoshop! And love that she's learning photoshop. She's convinced she'll win! The poster costs us more than the first place prize but the fact that she gave me a huge hug and told me I'm a genius makes it all worth it!!

Perfect Day Trip

pillow fight in the hotel room and it DID NOT end in tears - hooray!

snowball fight in the parking lot
came upon a quirky town called Jerome and ate at Haunted Hamburgers. Couldn't pass it up. If you haven't been there it's a must see. They even have a hotel that used to be a Psychiatric Hospital. We're totally going back to check out the Ghost Town.

The town is built on the side of a hill and I thought it had kind of an Italian feel to it. I had no idea something like this existed in AZ.
Checked out a National Monument called Tuzigoot (we have a goal of visiting five Nat'l Monuments this year - one down).

checked out another Nat'l Monument, Montezuma Castle (two down).

funny gag on Charlie. wah -wah!!

Great times!!

Some Valentine's Traditions

One of my all time favorite traditions is that Paul plans, prepares, serves and cleans up a formal Valentine's dinner. love it!

On the morning of Valentine's Day the kids will always discover a treasure hunt of some sort that they must work as a team together to get to the end. There's always a simple gift that everyone can play with. This year they found "Hammy" (that's what Eli named it). It repeats back everything you say but in its high pitched hamster voice. Pretty entertaining.

4th grade photo shoot

I took all my studio lights and stuff to Ruby's classroom for her Valentine's Party. I do believe
the kids had a blast feeling like a momentary superstar. Ruby was a crack up and was rockin' the wigs. It was fun to get Ruby home and go through all the photos and learn who all the boys are that have crushes on her and make her uncomfortable. And to learn who the boy is that has brought the same disposable water bottle to school in the same sock since first grade.

Anna, I would love to see what you did with the polaroids.
