Not only was this the first pinewood derby for Gib but it was the first for Paul too. With the help of Gib's Uncle Cameron they made a killer car which won every race except the race against the winner car. Gib had a great time and I would have to say it was a success. Of course we hoped for the coveted trophy but in the end it worked out better. Gib had a great time and now wants to try even harder next year to make a winner car. I love that kid and couldn't ask for a better oldest child.

Great collage of pics. Your getting pretty creative! Do you have a mac? Gib is a pretty great kid
The Golden Ant--I love it! Way to go Gib et al
I like the collage too! Congrats to Gib on the derby. Sounds like Scouts isn't ALL bad, right?
Amy, Great Blog--you are very good at it. It was fun to get your comment on my Blog. I am working on Deb too, I think she would like blogging. I started my blog for the grandkids across the mile so I understand where you are coming from about being away from family. It is hard but I am very happy I live now and not in the 1800s. Blogging has been the best, it helps you to feel close even when you are miles away. That is why I am a grandma blogger because I just want to feel close to the kids. Oh and about the Pinewood Derby, great job-- boy do I ever remember when John (Dad John) worked so hard on John Daniel's car. Your Bog is great, I'm going to have to visit it frequently
ps (Our post says Mom and Dad Heiner because I thought it would be something only the family saw, we really don't think we are everyones mom and dad so I hope you don't mind but it was sure good to have you post.
The Golden Ant...I love it! Parker just had his first Raingutter Regatta tonight and painted his boat gold too. So fun!
Great car! I missed being able to see all the cool cars so I'm so glad you posted his. Great job, Gib!
Gib's Car rocked the house. Im glad that both Paul's and Gib's first experience with the Pinewood Derby went fabulously! It was a pretty sweet time and I just thought those awards were probably the best I have seen, who did those again??
Yes, I am jealous of your fancy photo arrangements too. Are you going to give us a hint on what you are using? Mac? If so, I need help. C'mon, spill the beans.
Ok I LOVE LOVE LOVE you photographs. They are amazing. Gavin says that Charlie is his best friend too! It's so cute. I love how kids build friendships. He is welome over anytime.
and by the way you cannot even look at my blog. I am the worst picture taker ever.
Hey I went and got adobe photoshop and am trying to figure out the collage thing. Can I drop in for a tutorial?
