October

This October break my sisters and I were able to hang out at a fantastic cabin for a few days.  Great times.  The kiddos played hard and I read an entire book in two days (Goose Girl) - very relaxing.

Who wouldn't love a game of "Red Rover, Red Rover" on a golf course as the sun is setting knowing that a warm bowl of chili will be ready once the sun has gone down?

The sugar cube castles weren't as successful as I had hoped they would be.  Trial and error.  I think some of the kids had a sugar high though after "making" them.
And on another note, I'm a genius of a mother.  Halloween is not my favorite holiday but I have two sisters who embrace it with their whole hearts.  I do a little bit here and there but this year I took it a little further and made my kiddos Halloween shirts.  Yes, I made these and they were a hit.  They took A LOT longer than I had planned so I will never make them again. The kids love wearing them and  I have to remind Charlie that wearing a shirt three times in the same week is a little over the top.  One of my shining moments.  Just don't expect them annually.

HAPPY OCTOBER!!

Next time you have us for christmas you can make TJ a monster shirt. Or if you want to be his favorite aunt. :) That is what he keeps telling me he wants to be for Halloween. haha (Which I am not able to fulfill his wish). Those are way cute! I can see why they would want to wear them a lot!

What pretty sisters I have.

Wasn't Goose Girl awesome? I heard the others aren't as good, fyi. But I devoured GG.

Looks like a fun October break. Great shirts, too.
