The Wedding Dress

A few nights ago I went on a walk around our neighborhood and ran into some neighbors cleaning out their garage.  They informed me that they were getting rid of a ton of stuff and giving it to the D.I.  I learned they were getting rid of a complete wedding dress that was an ex's.  I decided to ask if they would be comfortable if I took it for a dress up for my little Rubes.  They didn't seem to mind so I loaded the empty side of my double jogging stroller with a puffy sleeved wedding dress with train, veil, white pumps, a fake bouquet, and even the garter (threw that away).  I knew Ruby would go nuts and thought it would be a fun addition to her dre
ss up box.  I mean, what little girl wouldn't love an actual wedding dress?   I wasn't wrong.  She thought it was the greatest gift ever.  The next morning guess what she was wearing while waiting at the counter for breakfast?  Yep!  I don't know how many times I've told her to take off her wedding dress in the last few days.  I imagine this dress will keep her plenty occupied during the summer.   Who knew I would have such a girly-girl?

HOW FUN!!! I can't believe she can even move in it! Beautiful pictures, Amy! I especially love what I think is a bruise on her leg :) in a wedding dress - funny.

I love it! So where are the pictures of Ruby eating breakfast in her dress - those would be some classic shots.

Always a bride, never the bridesmaid, eh Rubes?

Ruby has got a killer dress up box even BEFORE the wedding dress addition... she is one LUCKY girly-girl!

MISS YOU GUYS!

Sorry about this morning....I set my alarm for 5 instead of 6, so when I went to readjust it (all blurry eyed and sleepy), I pushed the wrong button and slept until 6:30. Sorry friend, see you Wednesday.

Okay, Amy you have me cracking up at your adorable Ruby. That is so great. I remember this scary yellow strapless gown that we used to dress up in (I always thought it belonged to my mom, but probably not?!). Ruby has high fashion dress-ups!!!!
