Happy Mother's Day to my momma!  I love you tons!

I love being a mom and I love Mother's Day!  Mostly because Paul doesn't schedule any meetings and is home and has just taught two of our boys how to do back flips on the tramp - one of the few things I can't do.

And I love the treasures the kids give to me on Mother's Day.  And I love that this year as Gib is in 7th grade and no one helped him with a gift he felt so guilty this morning with nothing to give.  I told him I can't wait to see what he comes up with by the end of the day.  I'm a tease and I love it.  

 I love that when Ruby lost for elections and she and I were sitting on the couch crying together that Charlie came down the stairs and burst into tears and sat on the couch right next to Ruby and cried with us.  And then when Gib came home from school eager to hear if Ruby won or lost sat on the couch with us all (we were still crying on the couch) and huddled close and was close to tears (he is almost 13 after all).  I love that my kids love each other.

 I've heard my mom say that that's what she wanted to accomplish as a mother, is to have her children love each other, and man, I love my siblings!  You did it Mom!  Because I LOVE my sisters and my brothers!

 I love that Paul bought me a paddle board for Mother's Day and I love that two of my favorite mothers got paddle boards too and we're going to paddle board together because we're cool like that.

Thanks Royce for the paddle boards.  So stinkin' excited.  I've always wanted to be a surfer girl.  This is going to be the closest thing.

I love that Paul is downstairs right now making bacon to go in the fancy salad we're going to have for dinner tonight.  I don't like making bacon but I LOVE bacon.

Have I mentioned that I love Mother's Day?  and that I love my own mother?  and that I love my sisters who are great mothers and deserve some chocolate every day of the year? (that's for you Anna)

that I love my husband who makes me feel like I'm a rockstar of a mom?  and that I absolutely, positively love my kiddos and I love being their mom?  Have I mentioned all that?  Because I do.
