With the year coming to a close comes Student Council elections. Gib has decided to run for 8th grade Pres. and his elections are this week and next. Ruby just informed me today that her elections should probably start next week (She's running for SB Pres.) Two nights ago Gib told me at 9:30 pm that campaigning started the next day and we didn't even have posters let alone any ideas for the posters. Sooo, this is what I came up with. Gib seemed pleased and I planted the seed in his head that these are the things he should remember when he's thinking I'm the worst mom in the world because I won't let him go out with his friends or what have you.
Last years elections did me in, emotionally. I so badly wanted him to win because he was in such a weird funk at that time. We were discussing this the other day and he reminded me that even though he lost last year the fact that he ran for office got him out of his strange funk.

Wish me luck these next couple of weeks. Because I'll have you know that the mom in this house does a lot during the elections. I'm the creative genius behind many a campaigns. And I'm also the one that is there during the emotional losses - feeling the pain along with them.

Good for Gib! These are great ideas and he is lucky to have such a talented campaign manager.
I'm feeling for ya! Although, you have AWESOME creativity and the know-how to pull it off!!! Plus, you have AWESOME kids!
Oh Amy. I do send you good wishes and to Gib and Ruby too. I still remember very well the emotional toll on the candidate's mom. I am pulling for all three of you.
