This is a test...beeeeeeeeeeep

My mother-in-law claims that she reads my blog.  She has never left a comment and never brings up things that I post about.  I sometimes will even mention something I posted and she doesn't seem to be aware of it.  Does she read my blog?  Really?  My incentive to blog is for family to keep up on what we're doing.  I'm not trying to accumulate followers or care about getting public props for being a super mom.  I take breaks from blogging and consider quitting altogether but then something comes up and I decide to post.  I know my sister, Anna, reads my blog and other family members stop by every once in awhile.  Is it worth it?  It's not my journaling.  No other incentive but to keep my favorite people in the know.
Which leads me to this...I was telling my mother-in-law the other day about our first family ski trip, which was a hugely magical trip.  She asked me to post photos of the event on my blog.  I asked her in surprise if she still looks at my blog.  She gave me a definite YES.  Really?  So here's my post.  Is she going to look?  Will she mention this post?  Will she leave a comment?  Will she e-mail?   Does my own mother look at my blog?  Basically this is a test.   I'm on the border of moving on from this blogging world.  (And to my one or two sisters-in-laws that read my blog, no cheating - but feel free to leave a comment).

And on another note, for those of you that are keeping tabs and because people are starting to ask more frequently...  we are still waiting to be matched with our little girl from Ethiopia.  I'm getting restless and and a bit frustrated to say the least.  We've been waiting for 10 months now and the average wait is 6-10 months.  I've been pretty patient but it's starting to wear out.

Ok. You have probably forgotten that I commented on your original post of your ski trip and made the mistake of assuming that you were in Utah and not AZ! I love your pictures and usually don't comment because i dont have clever things to say, but just thoroughly enjoy. In fact, I have used all the pictures of the kick ball games here in Peru to show everyone my family.

We have actually proposed a deal with the "Director of Social Inclusion" here that if she will find us a baby girl for you, Dad will buy her and her assistant the I phones they desperately want ( and that you will be here in a month to check everything out) and told a lady who is he plays tennis with and is also fairly influential, that he will fly her and the baby to you when the time comes.

Sooo...just because there might not be as many posts on your blog that would give you more of an idea of how many people enjoy it, we are here, looking at the pictures over and over again, and even working in the background to try to help your wishes come true. "Keep them coming, Ed!!!"

I read your blog, Amy! And love it. I think if Ian had to pick a favorite blog outside of his brothers' he would pick yours. He is a big Ty fan, but loves all of your pictures. So there - you have a younger cousin you rarely see that feels connected to your family, all because of your blog.

I read it! And I know people in my family do as well. in fact we were discussing you not too long ago and about you adopting your little boy. I was trying to find your story on your blog about it, but never could. do you have one? I'd like to know more about your new little one coming. :)

I really enjoy your blog for your spunky writing and your phenomenal photos. You inspire me to be more spontaneous! Keep blogging, girl. And I am sorry you are waiting so long to get a referral in your adoption. I know they recently changed a lot of things about adopting in Ethiopia, so I'm sure that's holding things up. Any little girl would be lucky to join your fam!

well, it's working. ;)

Nobody in Alan's family ever reads my blog. Al's mom said the other day, "So, what have you written on facebook and your blog lately?" Umm, what? That's not how it works.

And Ian likes your blog best, so maybe I should quit.

I've wanted to quit A LOT, and a lot of reasons have to do with family not caring or hating on me for what I do write. Sometimes it does not seem worth it. But I like having a place to write down what I think, who we are, and all that jazz. Somehow it feels legit to me.

MWAH! (and I forgot to tell you that I got kitchen scrubbers at IKEA. those were the big purchase I forgot. TWO of them!)

Despite what my sisters think, I do care.
I think you should write because you like it. Don't do it for the comments. (I would have quit a long time ago!)
I'm with Mom...sometimes I don't have a clever thing to say.
I could just leave a :) or a ;).
Ps...eli looks like a future kamikaze skiier!

What? You better keep this going. I love being able to see you and your family. Plus, it makes it seem like it hasn't been YEARS since I have seen you all.

I don't always comment, but I always read your blog! I love to see what you guys are up to. I can't, however, lecture anyone about keeping regular blog posts, since I haven't posted in... um... months. :) I hope to change that, after school is over.

haha I have totally felt the same way! I decided that since nobody commented anymore much that I would just make mine private, and have it as more of a journal purpose. I have a goal of someday printing it off which is what motivates me to keep blogging! My goal is to at least blog once a month. ha

I do read your blog all the time, it is one of the few I choose to look at in my small moments of blog world! :)

I read your blog, Amy!! Love to see what one of my favorite sister missionaries is doing these days. :)

And strange enough I visit teach a sister missionary that served the same time you did in Tennessee. What a small world, huh? :)
