Okay, since you asked

So, I decided to give you a small taste of our trip to Aspen Grove.  Remember, this is just scratching the surface.  You'll have to come over and look through our family photo album at the end of the year to get the full scope.
My boys!  Man, they're a cute bunch!
We were forced (I'm not kidding) to play a paintball game.  All the wives, four against four!  Not fun at all!  That would be me on the bottom left.  I just wanted it to be over.  Seriously, boy games can be so dumb!
They all thought differently about the game.  Weird!
Once again peer pressure forced me to do the ropes course.  And as I was walking on the ropes I made a solid mental note that this would be the last time I would ever do this again.  I didn't find it at all fun.  What's wrong with me?  Climbing the log and rock wall in the beginning I felt my age plus 20 years.  I practically cried to the guy up top to pull me up the rest of the way but he didn't.  It was physically challenging for me but I made it and apologized to the poor guy at the top that he had to see me in such a weak moment.
But I actually enjoyed the rappelling.  I was pretty good at it too, if I should say so myself.  By this point I was trusting the equipment and I just let myself go.
Can you hear me saying, "I am truly amazing.  Did you see how amazing I am?  Have you ever seen anything like it?  Has anyone ever done such an amazing job and pushed themselves past their limit?"
"Focus!  If Amy can do it so can you!  Get your game face on!" (He told me that's what he was thinking).

My husband, the show off.  He had no problem doing this and was fearless.  He even fell on purpose once.  I'm married to a nut!
The whole camp was divided into teams and our group was one team.  We went from game to game trying to beat the other teams' time.  Everyone had a blast and worked well together.

I'm trying to figure out a way to put a badminton court in our front yard.  I think Paul might be on board.  I love that game!  I've always had a gift for it.  As I said earlier, I was on the winning team for doubles badminton.
Gib was old enough this year to do the ropes course.  Paul took the photos as I was playing in a doubles tennis match trying to take the victory home but didn't succeed.  I also want to try to get a tennis court somewhere around our house.  We'll probably have to knock half of our house down.

Ruby's age group was able to do the rock wall.  Prepping them for when they can actually do the ropes course in a couple of years.  Look at that focus.
 Frontier night was a blast!
His own father drenched him and then stood there and laughed!

Oh yeah, I was actually there.

 A little b-ball action!
On Wed. the kids go with their group all day long so the guys all went mountain biking at Sundance and we met them there for lunch.  Once again, great conversation!
Dude, I've got such a crush on this kid!
Have you ever seen a more beautiful unicorn?  Arts & crafts is always a hit!  I love just sitting with my kids and talking while we paint some random object.  The leather stamping is pretty fun too.
Gib bet one of his friends that he'd give him ten bucks if he immersed himself in the fish pond.  He did, Gib paid up.  Hopefully he learned his lesson.  He works hard for his money and saves it and he foolishly lost $10.  I have it all on video though.  It's pretty classic footage.
Always love a hike with Paul.  It was nice to get away and just talk.  There's so much activity going on at camp that I start to miss mi hombre.
Our friend James told Charlie he'd give him $20 if he'd eat everything on his tray.  Charlie didn't back down.
James feeding him his last bite.  Stay tuned to see what Charlie chose to spend his winnings on.
 Some of the gals
Some of the guys!
What a trip!   Everyone's on board to do it again and I'll so look forward to seeing everyone again!  We've already got some match making going on with our kids so we've got to be sure to keep the love alive.  Hopefully next time we'll get a few more of the families that couldn't make it this year.

What an amazing place! That scenery is unreal. Thanks for sharing the pics. It should make you smile to know that when I showed Thomas these pictures, he said, "Amy is a cool mom." Is there a nicer compliment???
