Ahhhh, swimming. Love it! Love the escape from the heat! Love the escape from the house! Love that we don't have to get into a hot car to get there! Love that Ty can take naps while the rest of us swim! Love reading by the poolside! Love that Eli has now learned how to swim! Love that I have underwater camera goggles! Love that Ty has to wear goggles just because he wants to be like everyone else! Love that my hair is long enough so that I can wear it in a ponytail when I swim! Love having something to do with all of my kids at the same time and we all seem to enjoy each other in the pool!
Today I decided we were going to have Christmas in July where we could only listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies and make Christmas crafts (a service project of sorts that will be all prepared by the holidays, genius of me), and talk about Christmas wish lists. We turned the thermostat down a couple of notches so that we'd want to be cozy in blankets and then decided it was time for a Polar Bear Swim. So ended our Christmas in July though I did pretend it was freezing in the pool as I jumped into the lukewarm bathtub water. My kids say I'm a bit nuts but they'll appreciate it more when they're older, won't they? I wish they made Peppermint Stick ice cream in the summer - that would've been perfect.

You're such a FUN MOM!!!!!!!!! Our favorite homemade ice-cream is candy cane ice-cream!!! And, we were thinking of getting ice blocks to put in my parents' pool because it's so not refreshing anymore!
I love the goggles on Ty.
When does your OFFICIAL Christmas countdown begin?
You are the funnest mom EVER!!!
