Soooooo, Friday evening started off with Gib's Birthday Bash. A little bit of basketball on the tramp,
pizza and a smoothie bar (total hit),
a free for all smoothie for Ty (if there was a smoothie on the ground with a straw in it, it was as good as Ty's),
Paul too,
Dylan was a good sport with his unfortunate cast,
freak o' nature Tanner,
and just a bunch of good buds. We continued on the evening with various activities as we waited for the sun to go down to take the boys on a "bladding" adventure. What is bladding? Well, I have to take you in order to tell you.
Saturday morning: 8 a.m.Charlie's friends showed up for his birthday bash . . .
It was "Breakfast with Charlie" celebration as the kiddos enjoyed hootenannys and peaches with sporadic dips in the pool. The Bishop (Paul) was our main source of entertainment. I mean, what kid wouldn't think it was the coolest to have canon ball contests with the Bish. Paul kept them entertained with Simon Says, Pictionary, and swimming contests until it was time for . . .

Saturday morning cartoons, old school style.
A very difficult birthday cake to make but oh, so worth it. (By the way, Charlie didn't turn 8 it's just the only candle I have - I really need to invest in some candles).
Then on to opening the presents. Good times!!
I forgot to document but the next party was a light dinner for our ward after a temple session. It wasn't too difficult as the High Priests organized all the food and paper goods. I just had to make sure everything was set up and the bathrooms were cleaned. We had about 50 people show up. It was a good time!!

Not to mention great prizes.
She has always wanted one of these snakes. It has been on her list for years.

Then on Monday to complete the weekend of birthdays and parties I had to do my traditional balloon twisting in the boys' classrooms. Fortunately Gib comes as my partner and we get it done a lot quicker. It's always a hit,
no matter the age.
Needless to say I took it easy today and didn't do anything worth celebrating. It felt nice!!

I love how at Charlie's party, Roxy is always in the middle of all of the boys. Go get 'em, Rox.
And that 8 candle makes me want to cry.
The smoothie bar is a great idea. Fun weekend!

No wonder Brigitta says you are the coolest mom ever. And, you're not even her mom! :) You guys are awesome!
Wow that looks like a fun weekend but I'm glad it was you in charge of it all and not me! Makes me tired to think of running all that! :)
